Day 1

By: Kurt Barnes

Scripture:
“Then Moses said, ‘Now show me your glory.’ And the LORD said, ‘I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.’”
— Exodus 33:18–19

Reflection:
As we embark on this 21-day journey of prayer and fasting, let us begin with an earnest desire like Moses to see God’s glory. In His presence, we find fullness—of grace, mercy, and compassion. Just as Moses longed for a deeper revelation of God’s nature, let us approach God with a humble and open heart, ready to experience His glory in unprecedented ways.

To seek God’s glory is to invite His presence into our lives more profoundly. It is acknowledging that His goodness surpasses all our understanding and trusting that He reveals Himself to those who earnestly seek Him. In this time of deeper devotion, allow God to shine His light on your path, revealing His plans and purposes for you.

Prayer Focus:

  • Personal Revelation: Pray that God would reveal Himself and His glory to you during these 21 days. Ask Him to speak to you clearly as you read His Word and meditate on His truths.
  • Understanding and Faith: Seek a deeper understanding of God’s character—His mercy, compassion, and goodness—and how it aligns with His plans for your life. Pray for increased faith to trust Him fully.
  • Community Adoration: Lift up Silver Creek Fellowship, asking God to draw His people into a deeper worship of Him. Pray that the community would be united in seeking God’s heart and glory.
  • Encouragement for Others: Ask God to show you how you can encourage those around you to seek God earnestly. Pray for opportunities to inspire and uplift others in their spiritual journey.

Action Step:
Reflect on one way you can actively encourage someone in your community or household to deepen their journey with God during this time. It might be through a word of encouragement, a shared scripture, or an invitation to pray together.

As we begin this journey together, let us be united in our pursuit of God’s glory, allowing His presence to transform us individually and as a body. May His goodness pass before us, instilling hope, faith, and a greater desire to know Him deeply.
