Day 4
By: Kurt Barnes
Scripture:
“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.”
— Ephesians 2:4–5
Reflection:
Ephesians 2:4–5 reveals the depth of God’s love and the transformative power of His grace. He didn’t just stop at forgiving our sins; He made us alive with Christ. Salvation is a profound gift rooted in God’s immense love and mercy, unattainable through our own efforts but freely given through His grace.
Today, let’s revisit the cross, remembering the incredible price paid for our salvation. Allow the magnitude of God’s grace to captivate you anew, stirring gratitude and awe within your heart. As we reflect on our own redemption, let us intercede for those who have yet to experience this divine grace, praying for their hearts to be opened to His love.
Prayer Focus:
- Remembrance of God’s Love: Pray that we would be continually reminded of God’s great love demonstrated on the cross. Ask for hearts that are ever amazed by His grace and mercy.
- Rejoice in Salvation: Take time today to rejoice in the salvation we have received through God’s grace, celebrating that our redemption is not by our works but a gift from Him.
- Intercession for the Lost: Pray fervently for those around you who have not yet responded to God’s grace. Ask God to stir their hearts and draw them closer to Himself, opening their eyes to His love and truth.
- Record Harvest in 2025: Pray with boldness and faith for a record number of individuals to come to faith and be baptized in 2025. Ask God to prepare hearts and inspire our community to be active witnesses of His grace.
Action Step:
Reach out to a friend or family member who has yet to embrace God’s grace. Share your story of salvation or invite them to explore faith with you. Allow your life to be a testimony of His transforming love.
As we pray today, let us be renewed by the assurance that our lives have been transformed by God’s grace. May this reminder strengthen our resolve to share His love, and may our community be a beacon of hope and light to those who are searching for truth.
