Scripture:
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”
— Ephesians 1:18–19

Reflection:
Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:18–19 is a profound desire for believers to grasp the depth of hope and power available to them through the gospel. Our faith is rooted not just in the promise of future inheritance but in the realization of God’s active work in our lives today. This passage encourages us to seek a divine perspective, where the eyes of our hearts are opened to his magnificent promises.

Today, let’s pray for a clarity of vision that sees beyond our current circumstances to the hope and power God has promised. In doing so, we are empowered to live boldly for His glory, ready to share the foundation of our hope with those around us.

Prayer Focus:

• Hope in the Gospel: Pray that we would be a community filled with hope because of the gospel. Ask God to enlighten the eyes of our hearts, helping us focus on His promises rather than our immediate challenges.
• Vision Beyond the Moment: Request God’s help in seeing beyond present situations to the riches of His glorious inheritance. Pray for the ability to trust in His eternal plan and rejoice in the hope it brings.
• Empowerment by God’s Power: Seek God’s transformative power in your life, asking Him to free you from anything that hinders you from living for His glory. Pray for strength and courage to live fully in the calling He has given you.
• Readiness to Share Hope: Pray that God would prepare you to share the reason for your hope with neighbors and friends. Ask for opportunities to testify about the hope found in Jesus.
• Salvation for Others: Specifically lift up those in your circle who do not yet know Christ, praying that they will come to faith in Jesus this year. Ask God to work in their hearts, drawing them nearer to His love.

Action Step:
Identify a way to tangibly express hope in your daily life, whether through words of encouragement, acts of kindness, or sharing your journey of faith. Allow your testimony to reflect the hope and power of the gospel.

Today, as we seek God’s guidance, let us be filled with an unshakable hope that not only transforms our lives but inspires others to seek the truth and love found in Christ. May we be a beacon of light, joyfully sharing the inheritance we have in Him.
