Scripture:
“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.” — Philippians 2:3–4

Reflection:
Philippians 2:3–4 calls us to a life of humility and selfless love, mirroring the example of Christ Himself. By valuing others above ourselves and prioritizing their needs, we embody the heart of the gospel and reflect God’s love in tangible ways. This selflessness challenges us to rise above personal ambition and choose a path of service and generosity toward others.

Today, let us focus on cultivating humble hearts that sincerely seek the welfare of those around us. Through this commitment, we foster a community that actively engages with the world, demonstrating God’s transformative love.

Prayer Focus:

• Humility and Selflessness: Pray for God to grant us humble hearts, eager to seek the welfare of others above our own. Ask Him to reveal and remove any selfish ambition or conceit within us.
• Alertness to Serve Others: Pray for sensitivity and alertness to opportunities to serve and prioritize the interests of those around you. Ask God to guide you in identifying specific acts of kindness or support you can offer.
• Community Engagement: Pray that Silver Creek Fellowship would faithfully engage with the community and seek the welfare of the city, becoming a beacon of hope and compassion through selfless actions.
• Cultivating Selfless Love in Families: Ask God to cultivate selfless love within the families of Silver Creek Fellowship, fostering environments where humility and love thrive.

Action Step:
Identify a practical way to serve or support someone else today, putting their needs or interests above your own. Whether through a simple act of kindness or dedicating time to help a neighbor, let your actions be a reflection of Christ’s humility and love.
