Scripture:

“Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.”— 1 Peter 4:9–11

Reflection:

In 1 Peter 4:9–11, we are reminded that every gift we have is a manifestation of God’s grace, entrusted to us to bless and serve others. As stewards of His grace, we are called to offer our hospitality and service joyfully and wholeheartedly, ensuring that in everything, God is glorified through Christ.

Each one of us has received gifts uniquely suited to advancing God’s kingdom. Today, consider how God has specifically equipped you to contribute to the community and how you can steward these gifts faithfully. Serving others with love and grace not only honors God but also strengthens the body of Christ, bringing unity and growth.

Let’s turn our focus to how we can serve with joy and dedication, ensuring God’s love and glory are evident in all that we do.

Prayer Focus:

• Faithful Stewardship: Pray that we would become faithful stewards of all that God has entrusted to us, using our gifts and resources to serve and love those around us without hesitation or complaint.
• Utilizing God-Given Gifts: Ask God to reveal how you can best use the grace and gifts given to you to advance His kingdom and bring praise to Jesus. Seek His guidance in aligning your actions with His purpose.
• Strength and Joy in Service: Pray for strength and joy to serve others wholeheartedly. May our service be filled with love, reflecting God’s endless grace and bringing glory to His name.
• Support for Missionaries and Church Planters: Lift up missionaries and church planters across the globe, praying they would not grow weary in well-doing. Ask for God’s encouragement and provision as they faithfully serve the body of Christ and their communities.

Action Step:

Look for opportunities to extend hospitality today, whether through a kind gesture, an invitation, or simply offering your time and attention. Let your acts of service reflect the grace and love God has given you, encouraging others and glorifying Him.

As we bring our prayers before God today, may we recommit to being faithful stewards of His manifold grace. May our lives bear witness to His love and power, and may we become catalysts of His kingdom, spilling over with generosity and compassion to everyone we encounter. Let us celebrate His gifts and faithfully use them to advance His glory and purpose.
